AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE MONTH OF MAY AS CYSTIC FIBROSIS AWARENESS MONTH
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 15DDDDDD, inserted by chapter 53 of the acts of 2017, the following section:-
Section 15EEEEEE. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of May as Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month to increase public awareness and understanding of cystic fibrosis as a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits a person’s ability to breathe over time. The proclamation shall recommend that the month of May be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
