The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF LANESBOROUGH AS THE SERGEANT GREGORY ALOYSIUS NOONAN BRIDGE

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge as the Sergeant Gregory Aloysius Noonan bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The Miner road bridge crossing over the town brook in the town of Lanesborough shall be designated and known as the Sergeant Gregory Aloysius Noonan bridge, in honor of United States Army Sergeant Noonan who served during the Vietnam War. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers on the bridge bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
