AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF WHATELY TO CONTINUE THE EMPLOYMENT OF JOHN LASALLE AS A CALL FIREFIGHTER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, John LaSalle, a call firefighter for the town of Whately, may continue in the position until he reaches 70 years of age, the date of his retirement or the date of his non-reappointment, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that deductions from the regular compensation of John LaSalle shall not be made pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to his reaching the age of 65 in connection with his service to the town for retirement or pension purposes and upon retirement, he shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired on that date. 

 

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
