AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING THE WARRANT PROCESS FOR THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING IN THE TOWN OF WESTON

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 10 of chapter 39 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the board of selectmen of the town of Weston shall insert in the warrant for an annual town meeting all subjects requested to be inserted by at least 50 registered voters of the town who shall make the request to the board of selectmen in writing. 

SECTION 2. This act shall be submitted for its acceptance to the qualified voters of the town of Weston at an annual or special town election in the form of the following question: “Shall an act passed by the General Court in the year 2018 entitled ‘An Act further regulating the warrant process for the annual town meeting in the town of Weston’ be accepted?”

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
