AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE AS THE GEORGE ALLAIRE MEMORIAL BRIDGE

Whereas,The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge as the George Allaire memorial bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Bridge number D-07-007=Y-01-010 on the Cape Cod rail trail spanning the Bass river shall be designated and known as the George Allaire memorial bridge in memory of George Allaire’s public service and dedication to the town of Yarmouth and the citizens of Cape Cod. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers on the bridge bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, March 2, 2018.
