AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF HANOVER TO GRANT ABATEMENT OF REAL ESTATE TAXES TO A CERTAIN SURVIVING SPOUSE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the board of assessors of the town of Hanover may grant abatement of the real estate taxes assessed for fiscal year 2019 upon the property owned and occupied by Cynthia Chesna, widow of Sergeant Michael Chesna.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
