AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF FRAMINGHAM TO CONTINUE THE EMPLOYMENT OF POLICE OFFICER JAMES GREEN

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, James Green, a police officer with the police department of the city of Framingham, may continue in the position until February 4, 2023 provided, that James Green is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of the position. If requested, James Green shall, at his own expense, be examined by an impartial physician designated by the city to determine his capacity. No further deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of James Green pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to February 4, 2021 and upon retirement James Green shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired on February 4, 2021.
     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
