AN ACT DESIGNATING THE DEPARTMENT OF UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE BUILDING IN THE CITY OF BROCKTON AS THE C. GERALD LUCEY BUILDING

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate the department of unemployment assistance building in the city of Brockton as the C. Gerald Lucey Building, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The department of unemployment assistance building in the city of Brockton shall be designated and known as the C. Gerald Lucey Building, in memory of the late honorable C. Gerald Lucey for his many contributions to the city of Brockton. The division of capital asset management and maintenance shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the division.
