AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BOAT LAUNCH AREA IN THE TOWN OF RUTLAND AS THE DETECTIVE JOHN D. SONGY BOAT LAUNCH

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain boat launch area in the town of Rutland as the Detective John D. Songy Boat Launch, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The boat launch currently known as the Long pond boat ramp located on Barre-Paxton road along state highway route 122 in the town of Rutland shall be designated and known as the Detective John D. Songy Boat Launch. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, July 12, 2022.
