AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF DUXBURY TO OFFSET BETTERMENT ASSESSMENTS FROM FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 80 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Duxbury may offset betterments assessed by the town for seawall repair project from funds received by the town for the project from the Federal Emergency Management Agency after the betterments were assessed on properties benefiting from the project and may reassess revised betterments on such properties.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
