AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN PARK IN THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE AS RICHARD MCKINNON PARK

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain park in the city of Cambridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an  emergency law,  necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, North Point park in the city of Cambridge shall be designated and known as Richard McKinnon park in recognition of Richard McKinnon’s contributions to developing landscapes in the city of Cambridge, including North Point park. The department shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
