AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF NANTUCKET TO CONVEY CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND TO THE TOWN OF NANTUCKET

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. (a) The county of Nantucket may convey to the town of Nantucket 4 parcels currently held by the county for a bicycle path and identified as P-23, P-24, P-25 and P-28 on page 2 of a plan of land entitled “Washington Street Extension Bicycle Path Easement Plan Nantucket, Massachusetts Prepared for County of Nantucket” prepared by Blackwell and Associates, Inc. and dated October 22, 1996, recorded with the Nantucket county registry of deeds in book 049-O, page 1.
          (b) Any conveyance pursuant to subsection (a) shall be on such terms and conditions as the select board deems appropriate, which may include the reservation of restrictions and easements.

SECTION 2. Chapter 30B of the General Laws and any rights of first refusal in the commonwealth pursuant to section 14 of chapter 34 of the General Laws shall not apply to any conveyance pursuant to section 1.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
