AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SELECT BOARD OF THE TOWN OF BERNARDSTON TO APPOINT AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF HEALTH
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the select board of the town of Bernardston may appoint an associate member to the Bernardston board of health for a term not to exceed 1 year. The chair of the board of health may designate the associate member to sit on the board of health to act as a full member in the absence of a quorum for any reason, including a conflict of interest, or in the event of a vacancy on the board of health until that vacancy is filled pursuant to section 1 of chapter 41 of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
