AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF ROWE TO CONTINUE THE EMPLOYMENT OF DENNIS ANNEAR AS AN ON-CALL FIREFIGHTER

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Dennis Annear, an on-call firefighter in the town of Rowe, may continue to serve in such position until he reaches the age of 68, the date of their retirement or the date they are removed or suspended from office, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that they remain physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of the position; provided further, that Dennis Annear shall, at the expense of the town of Rowe, be examined by an impartial physician designated by the town to determine such capability. No deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of Dennis Annear pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to the effective date of this act.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
