AN ACT DESIGNATING A PORTION OF STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 28 IN THE TOWN OF HARWICH AS THE ALPHONSO PALMER ROGERS HIGHWAY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The portion of state highway route 28 in the town of Harwich running from the town of Dennis town line to the town of Chatham town line shall be designated and known as the Alphonso Palmer Rogers highway, in honor of EM1 Alphonso Palmer Rogers, a 2-time Purple Heart recipient for his service in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers along said highway bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
