AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE TOWN MANAGER IN THE TOWN OF HANOVER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Clause (a) of paragraph (2) of subsection (C) of section 4 of chapter 67 of the acts of 2009 is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:- The town manager shall provide the board of selectmen with regular updates as to the status of those negotiations and, at the request of the board of selectmen, the town manager shall include a member of the board in all collective bargaining negotiating sessions.
SECTION 2. Subsection (B) of section 5 of said chapter 67 is hereby amended by striking out paragraph (3) and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
(3) Powers and Duties - Notwithstanding the duration of the absence of the town manager, the board of selectmen shall determine the powers and responsibilities of an acting or temporary town manager appointed pursuant to subsection (A) or paragraphs (1) and (2) of subsection (B).
SECTION 3. Section 7 of said chapter 67 is hereby amended by striking out the first and second paragraphs.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
